About this Blog

The foundation of this blog was spawned from the creation of a book club, B2B Books, for sales professionals who enjoy reading about their trade and sharing their experiences. The sharing aspect of the club brought about such discussion that a books message served as the catalyst for great professional development and it truly seemed a waste not to track the ideas create therein. Therefore, this blog came into being. Additionally, upon doing a little research it was found that reading can have a significant impact on income which will be extrapolated on below.

The basic tenet of the B2B nooks is to engage salesperson in reading for professional development. Each month members choose to take part in reading the monthly book at their leisure based purely on their interest in the book. For the time being member ship is open and aimed at career salesman who have a great interest in personal development. The majority of our current members deal with companies of 100-500 employees. Other valued members are sales professionals of varied experience of 10 to 20 years across a variety of industries.
If you have read this far you are probably interested in the monetary aspect of being part of such a club so here it is. According to a number of recent studies, business people who read at least seven business books a year earn over 2.3 times more than those who read only one book per year. Even in tough economic times.

Two separate links speaking to this fact are found below.

In discussion with other members it has been wholeheartedly agreed that simply reading does not help you earn more. It is how you internalise valuable content of each book to your benefit and then shape how this content is actioned in your professional life to become better at what you do.Without the internalisation you do not learn. Without the action you do not become better at what you do. Without both of these you will not earn more.
